A Lawman's Lot is Not a Happy One

"This is one of my least favorite Bonanza comedies. I found the guest stars very annoying:
Tom Bosley - I usually LOVE him, but I thought his character was just too dopey. He had corresponded with a woman whom he proposed to in a letter, but when she showed up he got nervous. Which I understand...but then, all the things he did - hiding in the rolltop desk, shooting up the saloon so he could get thrown in jail - just were over the top. I guess I expected better behavior from Mr. Cunningham!

And Melinda Dillon - she played the terrified mother in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and everyone's favorite 50s mom in A Christmas Story - her character was just annoying and whiney. Although, it was pretty funny when she kept calling Hoss her 'fuzzy bear'." - ellen

"It's not a bad ep. I love the part where she is clobbering Joe over his head with her parasal (sp), and he apoligizes." - jfclover
