The Lonely House

"The JHF (Joe Hotness Factor) alone gives this one a four from me! It would be a five but the music sucks." - bunwhisper

"The plot seems a bit thin, although packed with (foreseeable?) action - just 3 for me." - bianste

"I give it a 3. It has some great Joe moments, but the romance part of the plot is rather silly. Why would Mrs. Bolden would be so attracted to Trock that she would commit to wait for him while he served a sentence for bank robbery?" - ellen

"I gave it a 1.5. The widow could've had a Cartwright!" - patina

"Didn't like the widow and what she got up to at all and she was certainly more of an Adam sort of gal. But what a stupid female...dressing up in that see-through red outfit and then getting all upset when she mistakingly thinks Joe is after her! I mean...one little roll of thunder and she's in his arms and this is a woman who lives alone! Get real gal! Then falling for the outlaw within a few hours and what does Joe get for all his hard work in keeping her alive and getting back her money? A gun pointed at him and the threat of being killed for his trouble! Pity she didn't have a little blue number...that would have kept her quiet!

For that alone I give it a 3.5....but if Joe had been shot and left suffering and bleeding would have upped it to a 4.5 in an instant!

The best bit for me is at the beginning...a lovely little scene with Ben and Joe." - Dodo

"I gave this one a 3. I just didn't like the Widow Bolden, the way she was written. I found her too hard towards those who were there to help her out, but was pierced with cupid's arrow in a millisecond when she saw Trock. (What, was she angry with Joe that he didn't kiss her passionately when she jumped in his arms during the thunderstorm?)

I agree that the music was terrible...out of a bad 60's movie.

It if wasn't for the chivalrous, suffering Joe in this ep, I think I would've given it a 2." - DonnaB

"I gave it a 3, because of Joe...I didn't like the way the Widow acted...but Joe was a true Cartwright...right there willing to help!" - girlfromwl
